The City of Mountain View will be flushing the water system north of Central Expressway and bordered by Palo Alto and Sunnyvale beginning the week of February 18th and continuing to the end of May 2013. Flushing helps to maintain water quality by removing accumulated sand and sediment from water lines.  Signs and barricades will be posted in neighborhoods the day before flushing begins.

Beginning late fall, 2012, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will install 11 ramp metering elements and traffic operations systems in Santa Clara County on State Route 85 between I-280 in Cupertino and U.S. 101 in Mountain View.  The project will be completed in 2014.
