Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices are available free of charge in the lobby
at performances. MainStage is equipped with a Sennheiser SZI1029 infrared
system (induction loops available for MainStage only). SecondStage
is equipped with a Telex FM Assistive Listening System.

Volunteer at the Center
The Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts owes a great deal of its success to a dedicated volunteer staff. Volunteers are used in a number of different capacities--ushers, art docents, and ASAP drivers and office assistants to name just a few. Employment Opportunities
Current openings include these positions:
Theatre Technicians (Hourly)
The Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts is looking for people
with a minimum of two years experience in technical theatre. Working
knowledge of standard theatrical equipment (computerized stage Lighting,
sound effects & reinforcement and stage rigging) is a must. The
qualified applicant must have a professional and friendly working rapport
with clients, volunteers & patrons and demonstrate fantastic customer
service skills, integrity and reliability. Position requires excellent
communication and organizational abilities as well as grace under pressure.
(Majority of the work will be on evenings and weekends.) $13.33—$20.54
per hour. To

Home Companies
The Center is proud to serve as host to its Home Companies: Peninsula Youth Theatre, and TheatreWorks. These arts organizations spend a significant portion of their seasons in this facility and contribute to the overall success of the Center.
Performing Arts Committee
The Performing Arts Committee (PAC) is a Council-appointed, volunteer
committee of five regional citizens who advise the Mountain View City
Council on matters pertaining to the Center for the Performing Arts.
Appointees serve two-year terms and meet once a month.

- For the comfort of all patrons, smoking is not permitted in the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts building.
- Due to contract restrictions and the dangers posed to performers, cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the theaters during most events.
