Sexual Assault Occurred; Sketch Released
On Jan. 26, 2010, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Mountain View Police Department received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on Jan. 24, 2010 at 870 E. El Camino Real.  The 26 year-old female victim was grabbed, fell to the ground and was sexually assaulted.  She was able to fight off the suspect who fled and has not been located.

The sexual assault occurred at 4:00 a.m. when the victim was throwing trash away in an enclosed garbage collection area outside her residence.  The suspect assaulted the victim inside the enclosed area but fled after the victim kicked him multiple times.  The victim received minor bruises during the attack but did not require medical treatment.

The suspect was described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male in his late 20’s and over 5’10” tall with a medium build.  He was clean shaven and had short brown hair.  The suspect was wearing a blue sweater with a small stitched triangle in the front collar area.  He was also wearing light blue jeans with a black belt.

Community members are encouraged to be aware of their surroundings and should call the MVPD to report any suspicious people or activities via the non-emergency dispatch number at 650-903-6395.  An emergency or crime in progress should be reported via 911.
