Garbage carts are collected every week, but recycling and yard waste carts are collected every other week on the same day as garbage. To determine your collection day and the recycling week, click on the calendar below or use the online street index on the left side of this page.

Note: Apartments and Businesses using group dumpsters and recycling containers should contact Recology Mountain View at 650-967-3034 for schedules.

Holidays

Recology does not collect garbage or recycling on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. If your collection day falls on or after the holiday, collection will occur one day later that week. For example, for the Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday collection would be made on Friday, and Friday collection on Saturday. 

Please note that Recology's customer service office may be closed on other holidays throughout the year, but collection will occur except for the holidays mentioned above.  If the office is closed when you call, you may leave a phone message with Recology.
