Children & Youth

MVPD has a long-standing history of putting children first. Nothing is more important to the well being of our community than our children.

One example of our commitment to youth is our award-winning Dreams & Futures program. Dreams & Futures reaches out to young people most at risk of becoming involved in the dangerous (and sometimes deadly) lifestyle of gangs and drugs.

In-school educational programs, such as DARE, go right to the heart of protecting kids. DARE teaches elementary and middle school students how to avoid alcohol and drugs. It also offers important messages about tolerance, respect, integrity and other skills kids need to become productive and beneficial members of society.

When children are victims of crime, our investigators go beyond solving the crime and reach out to provide resources and support.

Please consult our brochures for other topics related to child safety and youth.

Let's work together to give Mountain View's children a great start in life!
