Community Services Officers

Community Services Officers are non-sworn personnel who work on Patrol Teams and handle routine calls reporting property crimes when the suspect is not known, service requests, non-injury traffic collisions, parking problems, and animal complaints. By taking some of the workload off regular Police Officers, CSOs free up officers to respond to more urgent calls and perform proactive crime prevention.  CSO's also work in our Crime Suppression Unit and Traffic Unit, and have collateral assignments on the Field Evidence Team and Crisis Negotiations Team.
