| Why is it important?
LEAD DUST HURTS KIDS! AND EXPECTANT MOTHERS!
Repair or remodeling projects disturb lead paint and that produces lead dust. As little as an evenly dust covered piece of letter size paper and you will poison a 1,500 sq. ft. house or apartment, and will fail inspection.
You can download the EPA Small Entity Compliance Guide it is a handbook for contractors, property managers and maintenance personnel working in homes and child-occupied facilities built before 1978. For additional information go to the EPA website: http://www.epa.gov/lead/
or call: United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at (415) 947-4164
