Adult Softball
Adult Softball leagues play at the Whisman Sports Center Callahan/Crittenden Fields, located at 1500 Middlefield Road. Games are held Monday through Thursday evenings beginning at 6:30 p.m.  There are two seasons offered each year in the Spring (April -July) and Fall (August-November).  The registration period for the Spring Leagues will begin in February and the tentative start date is the first week in April.  The registration period for the Fall Leagues will begin in June and the tentative start date is the third week in August.

To register your team you must submit your completed Managers Card, Team Roster and League Fees to the Recreation Division Office located at 201 S. Rengstorff, Mountain View CA 94039-7540 or via email to Colin James.

The following leagues will be played in both Spring and Fall:

  • Coed Monday Night C League at Callahan Field
  • Coed Tuesday Night REC League at Callahan Field
  • Men's Wednesday Night D League at Crittenden Field
  • Men's Wednesday Night C/D League at Callahan Field
  • Men's Thursday Night C League at Callahan Field

Adult Open Gym - Volleyball
The Mountain View Sports Pavilion is open Sundays on a drop-in basis for volleyball from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mountain View residents or employees of Mountain View businesses only. An activity pass is encouraged ($15 for 10 visits, $30 for 20 visits) or pay a $3.00 drop-in fee per visit.

Activity passes may be purchased at the Recreation Office, 201 South Rengstorff Avenue, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Sunday evenings at the Pavilion. Exact change only, please. Proof of residency is required.


Youth Sports
The City of Mountain View has a commitment to providing our community a variety of youth sports and fitness activities. We encourage youth participation in a mixture of activities from sports and fitness classes to strong associations with local youth sports organizations. Youth involved in sports and fitness related activities earth the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, social skills, and mentors while in a fun and safe environment.

Jazzercise Classes in Mountain View
The original dance exercise phenomenon! Each 60 to 70 minute class offers a blend of jazz dance and exercise science to your favorite music – Top 40, jazz, country, funk, and classics. Easy to follow fun choreography includes a gentle warm up, 30 minute aerobic workout, muscle toning, and strengthening segment with weights and stretch finale. Instructors demonstrate how movements can be modified to meet individual fitness levels making Jazzercise fun for both the beginning and the more advanced students!

Class Schedule:

  • Monday and Wednesday at the Whisman Sports Center: 5:45 p.m., Saturday 8:45 a.m. (1650 W. Middlefield Road)
  • Tuesday and Thursday at the Mountain View Communtity Center: 9:15 a.m. (201 South Rengstorff Avenue)  (June-August class located at the Whisman Sports Center)
