City Manager Summary Bio
Dan Rich has been Mountain View’s CityManager since July of 2011. Prior to arriving in Mountain View, Dan served as City Manager of Campbell for six years. He was the 2008 chair of the Santa Clara County City Managers Association and was a leader in their two-county effort to promote pension reform.
Dan has 25 years of public management experience, including four years in Belmont, nine years in Sunnyvale, and five years working for members of Congress. He is a Bay Area native and received his BA from U.C. Berkeley and has a Master in Public Policy from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
