The City of Mountain View provides water, sewer and trash services and bills residents and businesses according to annual rates approved by the City Council. The City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2012-13 rates on June 12, 2012.
Water and sewer services are provided by the City directly. Trash and recycling services are provided by contract with Recology Mountain View on a collection schedule at rates approved by the City.

Billing and Payment Information
Customers may open or close their water, sewer and trash accounts by contacting the Revenue Section at 650-903-6317. For trash changes, please contact Recology Mountain View at 650-967-3034 (Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.)
Residential customers are billed every other month for the previous two months of services. Please follow this link for an explanation of the information on the bill.

You can also use the direct payment method to pay your City of Mountain View utility bills automatically from your checking account. You will receive a regular billing statement that shows the usage information and amount due with a message indicating the date payment will be deducted from your checking account. There are no charges for this service. Automatic payments are processed by the U.S. Federal Reserve System. To sign up for this service please follow this link Direct Payment Plan.com.
